And, in my ongoing quest to be more organized and get shit done, I'm jumping on the bandwagon. I've been watching "planning" videos on Youtube. Shout Out to Michele1218, LiveLoveLatte, Paper & Glam, Belinda Selene, Elle Fowler, Alexis aka Miss Trenchcoat, xoMamaPlans and so many more for tips, instructions, advice, etc. on getting the most out of your planning experience. And while I'm not necessarily interested in decorating and pimping out my planner with washi tape and stickers and such, I do want to take my to-do lists to the next level.
But like most "fads" this planning thing can get pricey. There are all types of planners. In addition to the old school Franklin Covey, Filofax, there's the Kate Spade, Erin Condren, SugarPaper, Kiki K and sooo many more to choose. And then you need the "right" pens, markers, pencils, etc. Then the stickers, washi tape {insert a WTF here LOL}, clips, ribbons, glues, paper flags, inserts, dashboards, post it notes, arrows, stamps, etc. But thanks to my all time favorite pastime, Youtube, I've come across an inexpensive way to get in on the planning phenom.
Always one to get the maxx for the minimum, I've been watching Dollar Tree Hauls. That led to Target Dollar Spot Hauls. And lo and behold quite a few youtubers praised the Dollar Spot Customizable Planners and Accessories. Shout Out to CheapCraftyGirl, VasseurBeauty, jenniferisglam, Life with Pearls, Eyes2Jesus, MandaPhenom, Thania's Beauty, The Cocco Channel, JaackJackVlogs, The Frugal Crafter, Adventures in Polishland, etc, etc, etc.
The Dollar Spot has seasonal mini-binders for $3. Also they have calendar pages, filler paper, dividers, as well as stickers, note pads, paper clips, washi tape, decorative ribbons, glitter, pens, pencils and more ranging from $1 - $3.
As I was a little late to the party, I didn't think I would be able to find anything. But even in Mid Feb., I was able to pick up this super cute mini-binder, a calendar pages and dividers set, and a filler paper and pockets set.
Target Dollar Spot Mini-Binder in a gold and cream diagonal stripe. The inside is mint green. My hot pink pencil/pen pouch is peeking out because its a bit bigger. |
